The Federation of halaya, in com- pany with the other lonial territories in South East Asia, prepared an extende plan which was considered by Commonwealth Consultative Committee at its Colombo meeting in October 1950. The future of the 'Colombo' plans is not yet certain.
See also under Federation of Malaya. No comprehensive plan of the normal kind has yet been pre- pared, although certain indivu- al projects have been put under way.
The local Government has, however, prepared an extended plan on the circumstances referred to under "Federation of Malaya" above.
in outline programme of economic development to be financed from revenue has been drafted. Initial steps are being taken to implement this programme of development by the expansion of agriculture, edu- cation, medical and health ser- vices and improvement in communications.
